Mission Beach

Mission Beach 12th - 14th September 2013

We tried to get into Bingil Bay campsite but was told that the site was full, luckily it is only a short drive down the sea front to a council run site at Mission Beach.
With temperatures reaching the mid 30s it is a blessing to be camped literally on the beach, at least here there is a cooling off shore breeze.

The beach was as good as we have seen on our trip so far.

Not a soul on miles of beach what more does an Englishman need in the mid day sun?

Thats right a mad dog!

Even poor old Casper is feeling the heat. We definitely need to put more kilometres on the clock and get further South!

Although Mission Beach council caravan park fulfilled a need, however we would never return to this council run park. The toilets and shower block were disgusting and definitely not worth the money! Shame on you Mission Beach Council!
