Rocky creek war memorial 8th - 11th July 2013

We were planning to go to Port Douglas by the 13th of July to meet some friends that were flying in, Rocky creek war memorial was a great choice of free (donation) camp. We had quite a bit of road noise  where we were and a fair distance to the amenities block. Ah well we can't always have what we want.

I found it very moving to wander around the memorial park as did so many others. It is very humbling to watch veterans of all ages taking their time, deep in thought as they meandering along the memorials.

LEST WE FORGET

The park was quite full as the Rodeo was due at Mareeba in a few days, so the park was used as a close  

staging point before moving on.
